Up and Running!

Door’s open, coffee pot is on. I’ve got scones and muffins on the table, in yonder. You’re more than welcome. Take a browse through – stop and visit a while (via combox or email).

More than twenty years ago, when I was heavily volunteering with a crisis pregnancy ministry in the city where I lived, there was a lot of discussion, more like dispute, about accepting Catholics as volunteers at our CPC (Crisis Pregnancy Center). A lot of the evangelicals were afraid they’d come in and try to make us worship Mary or something. That city lost a lot of ground in the fight against abortion because of fear of one another.

This issue is so terribly serious that we cannot afford to be so completely divided into Catholic Army, Protestant Army, Nonreligious Army, etc. We are fighting a common evil, and we must coordinate our efforts or we risk losing this battle (but – you know this – ultimately, the war is ours).

Right now, we’ve got a lot of Catholic resources posted. That’s because those are the resources in our hands right this minute. I’ve tucked in a small few from my days at the CPC which might be familiar and friendly to you, but we need more.

If you consider yourself nonreligious, but oppose the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) because it defies science or common sense, please – you are very welcome here – welcome, indeed!

Please – if you come across a website with good information or excellent commentary, send us a link. I can’t promise we’ll add it, but I can promise we’ll sure take a good look at it. If we can’t use it, it might lead us to another link we can use. These things have layers to them.

We really are all in this together.

Laura – this is great. I’ll plug it after I get some breakfast…

    Hey Laura and Matt!

Good job! I’m looking forward to joining you!

The Libertarians for Life website has been invaluable to me in witnessing our pro-life beliefs. To me, it’s just logical, and makes sense.

I’m praying for you both, for all who join in this deliberate engagement, for Mr. Obama and our country’s leaders, that they will choose life.

  3. Laura says:

    Many thanks, Adrienne. Much appreciated.

  4. Laura says:

Mary, you too! Thanks so much!

  5. Matt says:

Thanks for this. Glad to see that we’ve got some readers so soon. I’ll take a browse at your blog and appreciate the invitation.

    Laura & Matt,
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you have put into a website like this! I’m going to forward this to everybody in my email address book and see what happens. If you’re tired of only hearing other’s opinions, it’s time to make yours known. I figure mine is as good as anybody else’s! This is a time we all need to put our “religious differences” behind us and bond together on something of such importance! Thanks again for all your work in putting this together! God bless you both!
