Dr. Oz on Oprah: Embryonic Stem Cell Research is Dead!

Here’s why – and, if anyone’s listening, Dr. Oz tells Oprah exactly what other scientists and ethicists have been saying for years: embryonic stem cell growth cannot be controlled, which can lead to cancers. Moreover, he reports, there is additional technology called Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell research that is very promising. I only wish he’d discussed adult stem cell use.

    I’ve just read the partial-transcript (it’s not word-for-word, obviously)
from the Oprah show with M.J. Fox and Dr. Oz.

NOWHERE in that partial-transcript does Dr. Oz say that the stem cell debate is dead. Why not?

I believe it’s because M.J. Fox is an advocate for embryonic stem cell research.

Read from page 10 to page 11 to page 12. Nothing. Not a mention of Dr. Oz’s words about embryonic stem cells.

However, it’s on the video. Watch the faces of M.J. and Oprah when Dr.
    Oz mentions “the controversy.”

This is blatant misleading of the public. The Oprah website is, I believe, counting on those who don’t have time or the capability for watching videos. After all, Oprah’s guest, Michael J. Fox, is a staunch advocate for embryonic stem cell research. Dr. Oz begs to differ on the efficacy of ESC research, but that opinion is being swept under the rug so as to not turn the hearts and minds of the American masses against their leader.

    Which leader? Obama or Oprah?
